1 . Reflect after a time you possessed a negative recruiting/hiring experience. What were the signs the knowledge was not going well?
Once We applied for a posture that I realized I don't qualify for although I was told by the potential employer to apply because they would consider entry level. Once they began asking me queries that were a lot more advanced then simply what I knew pertaining to THIS, I sort of felt that they can only offered me the interview for practice or to say they offered other job seekers a chance on the position for the reason that questions had been way to advance for me during that time in my job.
2 . What are the key decision items used by T. G. Cowen in making selecting decisions? What is your evaluation of the process utilized by the firm?
According to: http://www.studymode.com/essays/Sg-Cowan-New-Recruits-910566.html, the economic environment bringing about this point had made available an ever-increasing pool of candidates via top business schools, which in turn made the selection process harder. Chip Rae, the director of recruiting, had implemented a model for recruiting, through which SG Cowen recruiters will not go to the top ten business colleges, where they might only receive interest from your middle-of-the-class college students, but instead, they would navigate to the other business schools inside the top 25, where these people were able to get the top students.
I think this can be a great method because it allows the underdog to have a opportunity to increase and flower into a much larger professional and recruiting by schools that aren't the very best business educational institutions the students may have more perseverance and travel to grow!
